The first sentence of New Covenant Church's mission statement is, “We are a biblically grounded church family,” We strive to encourage Biblical literacy through Sunday School programs for adults and children, Vacation Bible School, Bethel Bible Study, small group Bible studies, and Christian Confirmation classes.
Sunday School Classes for all ages
CHILDREN'S SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS meets at 10:00 am
Interactive lessons make it fun for children to learn because they experience the Bible in ways that fit their learning needs. They read, act, draw, listen, sing, and play games while remaining fully engaged and making their own choices throughout the lessons. The program teaches children about God in ways they will remember as they dig into the Bible with creative activities. They learn life-changing lessons that stick. They build relationships with each other, watch for “God Sightings”, apply Bible truths to their own lives, and pray for each other.
THE WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDY grew out of a Bethel Bible Study that met last year. This is a group of women whose various ages, religious backgrounds, and understanding of the Bible have led to in-depth discussions on various readings from the Bible with much insight gained by all. Currently the group is studying from the “Walking with God” series using the "Incomparable Jesus-Experiencing the Power of Christ" study guide. The guide is supplemented with the Holy Bible (multiple versions), Halley’s Bible Handbook, and personal stories and inspirational writings shared with the group. This Women’s Bible Study group is led by various women in the class. This group is also open to anyone interested. It is predominately women, but we do have a man that attends occasionally.
THE ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL uses assorted reference materials to explore various books in the Bible. Discussion is informal and led by a member of the group. It is open to anyone who would like to participate.
Additional Bible studies that are offered periodically include the Bethel Bible Study, an in-depth study of the Old and New Testaments of the Bible led by teachers trained and educated in presenting this course. NCC regularly offers a New Members Class, Confirmation Class, and small group Bible studies. Some of the past Christian education classes offered included "40 Days of Purpose," "Becoming a Contagious Christian," Spiritual Leadership class, and various classes on the books and themes of the Bible such as Lent, Romans, Acts, and Revelations. For more information on any of these programs please contact Donna Casey or the church office.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL: THIRD WEEK IN JULY
Each year children ages three through grade 6 explore a different theme. In 2016 we all went spelunking in a Cave Quest. VBS welcomes participants from the MOT the community. Youth leaders and helpers create important relationships with campers. This year’s program included stations where children would sing songs, play games, create crafts, experience Bible stories, and enjoy Bible-related snacks. VBS is a rewarding ministry eagerly anticipated each summer by children and adults alike.

Youth Club for grades 3 to 5 has is open to the youth in our community and held on Wednesday after school. This program includes dinner followed by viewing an episode of Joan of Arcadia with a discussion related to becoming a better Christian. Youth Club activities included learning to ring chimes, making cards at Christmas, visiting Nursing Homes, and participating in various community functions. We are hoping to get this programs restarted when we have a minister in place.
