Come join us as we learn from our study of Tod Bolsinger's book, Canoeing the Mountains, Christian Leadership in Uncharted Territory.
We are reading and discussing this book as a way to help our church deal creatively with our changing world.
Bolsinger uses the explorers Lewis and Clark as examples of learning how to adapt to changing situations. Although these two explorers were prepared to find a waterway to the Pacific Ocean, instead they found themselves facing the Rocky Mountains.
Churches can feel the same way.
We may feel that we are trying to lead our congregation in a world we don't understand. We may also find that "the way we've always done ministry" simply doesn't work anymore.
Bolsinger tries to help us re imagine what effective leadership looks like in our rapidly changing world.
We learn how to scale the mountains of ministry, leaving behind canoes, and discovering new navigational tools.
We hope we will discover ways to lead our church forward with confidence and courage. Come join us on Sunday mornings at 8:45 am or Tuesday mornings at 9:45.
Hope to see you!
